As we know on 19 July 2022 google Doodle celebrated the 113th birthday anniversary of balamani Amma a famous Indian poet who is also said to be the grandmother of Malayalam literature. She was born this day in 1909 in the beautiful city nalapat. But she belongs to punnayurkulam which is located in the Thrissur district which was her Ancestral home.

Balamani Amma watch was awarded multiple prestigious awards for her fabulous poetry and the award she was awarded is Saraswati Samman and Padma Bhushan.
Many problems arose in balamani Ammas life so she never received formal training and education in her life. Her uncle gave her a home education in Nalappat Narayan Menon, and her uncle was also a popular Mulayam poet as well. Balamani Amma got married at the age of 19 who is v M Nair the managing director of Mathura Bhoomi Malayalam newspaper.
After some years balamani Amma had a baby girl child who was also interested in poetry and her name was Kamala Das who was nominated for the Nobel Prize in literature in 1984. Amma passed away on Sep 29 2004 Kochi Kerala at the age of 95.
