Eligibility Criteria for RTE Karnataka Admission
To be eligible for RTE Karnataka Admission, the following criteria must be met:
- The student must be a permanent resident of Karnataka state.
- For admission to LKG, the student’s date of birth must fall between 01-June-2018 and 01-January-
- 2020, with an age range of 3 years 5 months to 5 years.
- For admission to first grade, the student’s date of birth must fall between 1-June-2016 and 1-
- August-2018, with an age range of 5 years 5 months to 7 years.
- The total annual income of the student’s family should not exceed 3.5 lakhs.
- Priority is given to orphans, HIV-affected or HIV-infected children, transgender children, children
- with special needs, migrant and street children, farmers’ children, and children who have attempted
- suicide.
- Children from underprivileged and weaker categories are also given priority.
- Government employees are also eligible to apply.

Every child between the ages of 6 to 14 years has the right to free and compulsory education. This is stated as per the 86th Constitution Amendment Act via Article 21A. The Right to Education Act seeks to give effect to this amendment.
The eligibility criteria for RTE Karnataka Admission are as follows: Students must live in Karnataka state permanently. Age (Date of Birth) range required from 01-june-2018 to 01-January-2020 for admission to LKG (Age should be between 3 years 5 months to 5 years
The Parents of the Children should belong to the Socially and Economically Weaker Section of the Society. The Annual Income of the Parents should be Rs. 3.5 Lakh.
