Additionally, 241 charging stations will be set up on the streets of Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Gujarat, and Port Blair. This initiative is expected to contribute to developing regions promoting electric vehicles.
Fame India Scheme Extended Till 2024
The Fame India Scheme Online was introduced to incentivize the adoption of electric vehicles. Through this scheme, the government will offer subsidies for purchasing new electric vehicles, promoting electric mobility. Recently, the government has extended the Fame II scheme for an additional two years, making it applicable until 31st March 2024. Initially, this scheme was launched from 2019 to 31st March 2022.
