The scheme aims to waive a loan of Rs 10,000 crore through the One Time Settlement (OTS) process, while also providing a stamp duty exemption worth Rs 1,600 crore. Beneficiaries will have to pay a small amount as one time settlement to avail the benefits of this scheme after which they will be provided with a registered title deed. Through this scheme, after the beneficiary gets full rights over the property, they can transfer that property to the next generation, get a loan and can also sell their property at market rate. The state government will also waive off the outstanding housing loan of about Rs 10 thousand crore through this scheme.

This scheme was started by the Chief Minister of the state at Tanuku in West Godavari district and the benefit of this scheme will be provided to about 5.2 million families of the state.

• The government has been spending Rs 6000 crores for free registration alone under this scheme
